The vision, mission, and objectives of the Sociology Education Study Program, FKIP Universitas Tanjungpura, are formulated with reference to the vision of Universitas Tanjungpura and FKIP UNTAN.
The formulation of the vision and mission of the Sociology Education Study Program, FKIP Universitas Tanjungpura, refers to the vision and mission of Universitas Tanjungpura based on the Rector’s Decree of Universitas Tanjungpura Number 927/UN22/HK.02/2025, as well as the vision and mission of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Tanjungpura.

To conduct basic research in education and sociology that can be published nationally and internationally.

The objectives of the Sociology Education Study Program FKIP UNTAN are formulated to produce graduates who are characterized, adaptive, critical, innovative, and able to contribute to education and community empowerment.
To produce sociology education graduates with integrity, character, and competence as adaptive, critical, and innovative educators in developing contextual sociology learning based on Pancasila values and responsive to social, multicultural, and border issues.
To produce education graduates who are able to conduct basic and applied research in sociology and sociology education to respond to social problems and contribute to the development of knowledge and educational practices relevant to the dynamics of society.
To produce education graduates who are able to implement community service collaboratively and sustainably through the utilization of research findings and sociological knowledge for community empowerment based on local wisdom and social justice.
