PONTIANAK - The Doctoral Education Program of Universitas Tanjungpura (Untan), in collaboration with the Sociology Education Study Program, successfully carried out an international Field Study (KKL) and Community Service (PKM) program in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The five-day cross-border academic program took place from August 1 to 5, 2026.

The activity represented a strategic step toward expanding international collaboration networks and strengthening academic expertise. The involvement of the Sociology Education Study Program made an important contribution, particularly by enriching sociological analysis of educational issues, social dynamics, and cultural challenges faced by Indonesian communities abroad.

During the five-day program in Kuala Lumpur, lecturers and students actively participated in various academic activities. These included study visits, scholarly discussions with partner educational institutions in Malaysia, and community service initiatives using a social-educational approach designed to provide concrete solutions for local communities.
